WHAT I DO WHEN I WAS PROCRASTINATING

Human nature is lazy, I am also lazy because I am always procrastinating. Procrastinating will make people lazy because no one wants to finish their work early. Even if you want to want to finish your work early, most people are unwilling. Everyone is like this, even a very diligent person.

I am also a lazy person, there are so many lazy people in the world. I am just one of them, so in the online shop in China, you can find many items to help lazy people to be lazier. I like to procrastinate something, there is a "wait" button in my mind, and when someone calling me to do something, I will hit"wait" button. So one time in China, My mom was calling me to help her to do housework, but I was playing a game, the game is like PUBG, and I hit the "wait" button, then my mom just come to my room and say to me in an angry tone, "Hurry up and help." So I just put down my iPad and help her, and I see it was a very easy job, it only takes a minute. When I back to the game, there is only me and another player, but when I pick up my iPad, that player just killed me, I don't even touch the iPad and I'm dead. I was very mad at the time, and I just used my most power to pull out my iPad, and my iPad touched the prominent part of the wooden cabinet, and my iPad is broken, even though I had a rubber iPad case with my iPad.

After that day, I used 200 Chinese Yuan( 200 Chinese Yuan equal 30 dollars) to change a new screen to my iPad. I used my own money, for me, it is very expensive. In China, we call that " spending money to teach a lesson." And I make a goal for me, which is" I will not play any more video games" but after a few days, I started to play the video game on my iPad. But now I don't like to play any video games, I just watch YouTube videos, that started when I came to America. But I am still procrastinating, I wish I could fix that problem. 

SOMETHING I'M GRATEFUL FOR TODAY

Today is Saturday, 21 March 2019. This is my second year living in the United States. I am very grateful for my parents, they bring me to this world, they take care of me anytime. I am also grateful for my cousins, my uncle, and my aunts.

But I am grateful to my cousin today. In this afternoon, my aunt brought me to their restaurant, and I just go to the kitchen, then tell my old cousin, I want a beef lo mein. After a while, I finish my food and my cousin ask me "I'm going to deliver the meal, do you want to go with me?"(In Chinese) Then I said" Sure" My cousin has a car, he works in the kitchen, but sometimes the delivery staff was not working or the delivery staff is too busy, so he has to help the delivery staff. When I get to his car, he told me, when we get there what do I have to do. When we get there, I use my phone to call orderer, but he doesn't answer my call, and I see the orderer open his door, comes out. I walk to his front door, then I said" Hi! Sake Cafe delivery, can you put your signature on the receipt?" But the only thing I look for is the tip, he wrote twenty-three dollars and something, then I bring the receipt to my cousin, but he gives the receipt to me, and he said" You can bring that receipt to your aunt, and she will give you the tip in cash" and my aunt gave me twenty-four dollars.

My cousin just helps me finish my first work in my life. But he just gives me the tips that he got, that was very important for me because that was my first time going to do a delivery. I can tell delivery is not very easy to do, I can see all the steps of delivery, like get the order, and cook it, and carefully packaged, and drive to the address of the person who ordered,  finally give the food to the person. After this time, I feel the people who are doing delivery is very hard, we should not complain that the delivery is very slow.

THE MOST SCARED I'VE EVER BEEN IN MY LIFE

I am scared of things, even if I have a big body. Everyone gets scared of things, I have, you also have. But everyone's scares are different. I am most scared of the power supply being turned off in my home in China.

My home in China, it has 4 floors. The 1st floor has a living room and dining room, 2nd floor and 3rd are for the bedroom, but most time no one lives on the 3rd floor, sometimes my relatives come to my home so they can live in the 3rd floor and the 4th-floor is for stacking debris and there has a Guan Yin Pu Sa(Guan Yin Pu Sa is the gods of the Buddhism), Every Buddhist people's home has a statue of Guan Yin Pu Sa, also there is one in my home. and there are some music, fruit, light, and flowers with Guan Yin Pu Sa. But we have to turn on everything with Guan Yin Pu Sa like every morning and turn off everything with Guan Yin Pu Sa like every night. My mom always let me turn off the things with Guan Yin Pu Sa, but one night I turn off the things with Guan Yin Pu Sa and I go to my bedroom, and when I am walking and somebody just makes a scary sound and it scared me so after that night I am of always scared this thing, even if now I also has a little scared about that thing. And there is a funny thing about me and Guan Yin Pu Sa, that happened in a day before my unit Chinese Language Art test, on that day I went to the 4th floor of my home and I worship Guan Yin Pu Sa in my mother’s way and I get ninety something in my test, but I always get seventy something or eighty something at most time. That was amazing, I think that's the power of God.

All of all, everyone has a thing they are scared of, even if you are 7 foot something, but everyone gets scared of different things. But I will get over my scares, everyone has to. There are two famous sentences in China, the first one is "where did you fall and I have to get up in there. And another one is "Where you fall, you have to lie down there for a long time" I will like to be the first one because I don't want to be a timid person. How about you?

WHAT I WISH I HAD LEARNED SOONER IN LIFE

I want to I learn so many things sooner in my life, but I want to learn English sooner. There are so many reasons I want to learn English sooner. I'm from China, I lived in China for 12 years, but now I Live in the United States. If I live in the United States and I don't learn English, how can I live in the United States?

If I get a job in the United States and I can't always speak Chinese, I should speak English. If my English level gets very high, I will have more job choice than other people. I can choose to be a Chinese teacher, To teach American to speak Chinese, I also can choose to be a translator to help the people who don’t speak Chinese or don't speak English, I also can choose to be a staff of the Chinese Consulate in the United States or the I of the United States and I also like China, that's why I want to work for these two Country.

I like to live in the United States, but I don't have any hope for this year's New York State ENL test because this is my first year to join FMS. And I officially learned English in my first year. If I learn English as Soon as possible, all of the above can be achieved. But if I didn't learn anything above English, None of the above will be realized.

WHAT I WOULD ASK FOR IF A GENIE GAVE ME THREE WISHES

If you hear a genie is in the real world and this genie will 100% completion of your three wishes, what is your first feeling? If I hear that my first feeling will be"that was a joke" I will not trust it. Who will trust it? Genie in my memory is like a fake thing, a fairy tales.

If I'm in a fairy tale, a genie gives everyone three wishes. Some people will say "I want to be a rich man" or "I want to travel around of world" or "I want to have longevity" or "I want three more wishes." Those are human nature, everyone needs an aspect of satisfaction. I need, you also need, but everyone needs to meet something different. If genie give me three wishes I will choose "My parents being healthy" and "Be both citizens of the United States and China" and "Travel to every province (like states in America) in China." I want my parents to be healthy because my parents have been raising me for 13 years and it will be more than 13 years. And in Chinese culture, most people will raise their child for 20 years. When they are 55 years old, their child gets to work so the child has to give the money to their parents because your parents were raising you for 20 years and your parents can't work and they don't get money. But you get to work and you have to raise your parents. But that was my thinking, all in all when your parents get to be 55 years old, you got to raise them, even if your parents get a lot of money. So that's why a lot of Chinese people have stress.

The reason I want to be both citizens of the United States and China is the United States and China both are big countries. They're both top three in the world, whether economically or militarily. I like China because I was born in there, I lived in there 12 years, I have a lot of friends in China. But I also like the United States because the teachers in the United States are very good, they're better than the teachers of China, and the American characters are also very good, they are very enthusiastic, Americans’ enthusiasm is like Chinese people. And I think that will not happen because if I become an American Citizen then I will lose my Chinese citizenship, but I get my Chinese citizens ID card.

The reason I want to travel to every province in China is there are so many different foods in every different province, in every different city. I really like Chinese food, I eat Chinese food every day, but I think I only have eaten 2% of all Chinese food. There are eight major cuisines in China, (The meaning of the eight major cuisines is not eight different foods. The eight major cuisines mean different dishes from different parts of China. Their tastes are different. For example, one of the eight cuisines is called Sichuan cuisine. The taste of Sichuan cuisine is mostly spicy.) I think I have eaten every different major cuisine, but I have not eaten every dishes in every different major cuisine so I want to travel to every province in China and try different Chinese food.

WHERE WOULD I GO IF I COULD TIME TRAVEL

If I can time travel, I will travel 16 years in the future of the United States. The reason is I want to see what 2035 looks like. I want to see if 2035's quality of life is better or 2019's quality of life is better. How is my house, how is my car, how is my community...

If I lived 16 years into the future in the United States, my first feeling is "Where is here" I will look at everything. I don't know what will be my job, who I work for. Will I be a translator? Will I be a chef? Will I be a driver?... Maybe in 2035, people will use the translation machine, elimination of the translator, people use the machine to make the dish, people use driverless cars. I want to see what I will look like, did I have a wife? Did I have a child? Did I have a house or I live in an apartment? Will my wife be Chinese or American or from another country? How are my high school and college? Who is the President of the United States and who is the President of China? Will I work in the United States or China? Will China's GDP be higher than in the United States? Will humans eliminate human work and let machines replace humans?


I don't know what it will be like in 2035. I don't know where I will live in 2035. I don't know what my job is in after 16 years? Everything is a question mark because humans cannot be sure what will happen in 2035, but if you work hard, you will be able to control it all.

ONE ITEM I WOULD BRING ON A DESERTED ISLAND

If I was thrown on a deserted island without people, there are only two possibilities. First: I was forced by someone, then the person asked me to go to a desert island, or the person threw me to a desert island. Second: I give myself a challenge to let me live on a desert island. To be honest, I actually like to live on a desert island.

  I think I will live on a desert island for two weeks as a challenge. If I go to a desert island I will bring an iPhone soaked in water, then the iPhone will definitely be broken. When I arrive at the desert island, I will first look for some branches, some flammable things, a long, strong branch, a thin piece of wood (like the wood used to burn), and some vines. I will find a small stone and also a big stone. First, I will open my bad iPhone with a pointed stone, take the battery out, then make a sharp triangle with a small pointed stone cut from the iPhone shell. The big branch is tied together with the sharp iPhone triangle to make a spear. I will also make an ax by using a rock and a piece of branch. I can cut down two coconut trees with an ax. I will save it. With coconut I can guarantee that I can drink water, there will be some food because the white layer inside the coconut is edible. I will also cut the upper part of the coconut shell with an ax. A coconut that can be cut can be used as a lid for the container. Then, when I retire at sea, I will use my spear to find my target on wet and low tide beaches. I will find some seafood, such as crabs, shellfish, and then put the seafood I found in my container and close the lid. 

In the evening, I will keep my batteries on flammable materials and some branches. I need to put stones and iPhone batteries and flammable materials together, then cut the iPhone battery with stone, it will produce a lot of fire points, I will let these fires touch my flammable substances, then my flammables will burn, I will put my burning flammables on the branches (I burn the branches on an empty beach), so I got a fire, I can then use my coconut container that has the seafood and fill it with sea water, cover my container with a lid, and finally put my lidded container in my fire. That dinner is really good. Next I will use my ax to cut half of the coconut tree, then the coconut tree I cut will be placed on the burning branches, so I can have fire all the time. On this night, I will only make a bed with two large leaves on the beach. This will be very bad, but I won't have a lot of time to build the cottage.

After getting up the next day, I have a lot of red bites from mosquitoes on my body, so my spirit will be bad the next day, but I don't want to rain on the first night. If I am lucky, then I won't go down. Rain, if it rains, my saved fire is likely to be extinguished. The next day I will collect my food and put it in my container when the seawater is gone in the morning. Then when the sea rises, I will go to find the leaves of many dried coconut trees and some thicker and taller wood to make a hut. It must have been night when I finished my hut, I will cook my food on the first day of cooking. Then I will use two pieces of fresh coconut tree leaves in my hut so I can sleep well for one night. On the third day I will find a lot of thick long wood and a lot of vines, then I use vines to fix most of the wood into a rectangular platform, it will become a boat. Finally, I will choose a piece of wood and cut it into a paddle with my ax.

I will survive as usual for the next 12 days. I will test my boat for every day and then improve my boat after each test. On the fourteenth day, I will leave the desert island with my boat, I will like boating very much. Finally, if someone falls to the desert island, I hope my cabin can help this person.

MY FAVORITE MEAL DESCRIBED

My favorite meal will definitely be Chinese food because I rarely eat food from other countries, including American food. You can eat Chinese food all over the world, even if you are not in China. I am eating Chinese food in China, and I also eat Chinese food in the United States. You can buy Chinese food in the US, and my family will cook Chinese food every day.

My favorite dish is Chinese food. The main ingredient of this dish is fish. It is a special kind of fish. Because the name is CuiYu, Cui's English is crisp, Yu's English is fish, this is the dish. The name is fried CuiYu, because when the fish is cooked, the fish's taste will be crisp. The best CuiYu I have ever eaten is cooked by my mother because the food that my mother cooks is always the best, but my mother's cooking technique is very good, because most of the food I eat in China, it was my mother's cooking. When I can eat CuiYu, my mother will go to the farmer's market in the morning, then find the store that sells CuiYu, let's pick a good CuiYu, then find the staff who sell the fish, let the staff take CuiYu I fished out of the pool and then weighed CuiYu and then ordered the money. My mother could take her CuiYu home. When my mother brought CuiYu home, my mother would clean up the waste like viscera and scales from CuiYu, and my mother would cut CuiYu into pieces. Then my mother will prepare to fry CuiYu's other materials, such as cauliflower, fungus, carrot, and then my mother will fry all the vegetables, then add CuiYu to the vegetables, and finally add some seasonings. Stir CuiYu to the table and eat it.

A perfect match for CuiYu is white rice because the taste of fried CuiYu will be a little spicy. Chinese people like to use spicy food with rice because when it comes to white rice, it will make people's appetite higher. I really like CuiYu, because CuiYu's taste is perfect, I also like to add CuiYu to the hot pot menu. If you want to eat CuiYu in the US, you should go to New York City's Flushing and Brooklyn to find a restaurant named DaFengShou, which is a chain store, also in North Carolina and South Carolina, but DaFengShou is originated in China, then One introduced DaFengShou to the United States, and CuiYu at the DaFengShou restaurant in the United States was airlifted from China to the United States because the Chinese did not find CuiYu in the US market.
