My Favorite Place:New York City

New York City is one of the most populous cities in the United States, with five districts in New York City: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Staten Island. I used to live in Chinatown in Manhattan. I have been to these five areas, but the number is not many because I only go to places outside Chinatown to try different foods. There are many historic buildings in New York, as well as many modern high-rise buildings. There are also many people from different countries and restaurants and food as well. There are many bridges across the river.

I am from China. I came to New York City by plane this year. When I looked down on the plane, I saw many high-rise buildings in New York City, but I didn't sleep on the plane, so I was awake for 25 hours. When I landed at JFK in New York City, I took a car to Chinatown in Manhattan. After I arrived in Chinatown, I stayed in a Jewish apartment in Chinatown, but one thing is terrible, that is, I live only ten meters away from the Manhattan Bridge, so every morning there is a subway to wake me up. I don’t need an alarm clock, but the first thing I see when I wake up is the Manhattan Bridge because the room I sleep in can see the Manhattan Bridge through the window. There is a bar next to the apartment I live in, it will be noisy every night. But there is a good thing, that is, there is a baseball field at the door of the apartment where I live, and then I can go to the street or the baseball field. There will always be baseball games in the field and I can go out to see the baseball game. There will be three parks nearby, and it takes only five minutes to walk from the apartment I live to those parks. Two hours after I first stayed in the apartment, I went to the school I was going to register in New York. The school had a school connected to two high schools. The name of the middle school was called 131 Middle School. Sun Yat-sen Middle School, which is an international language middle school, where students are required to study a second language. My bilingual class is a Chinese and English class. In the week after I registered, I took my schoolbag and studied there. I remember that the first day of my school was Thursday morning. My first class was a science class. I entered science. When I was in the classroom, my classmates began to greet me. They were all Chinese. Most of them were students who came to the United States. They didn’t have much English like me, but one of them came to the United States. In the year, he will have basic English, so he took me to know every room in the school, every place, he and I came from the same place in China: Fuzhou. But he transferred to a different school in April. When I was there, I went to Columbus Park to play table tennis every day after school, so I met my best table tennis friends every day, Jacky. Sometimes I met Jacky's classmates, they are my competitors.  During this spring break, I took a cruise to Staten Island to see the Statue of Liberty. I had a Mexican meal on Staten Island. I was most surprised by the way Mexican meals were served. Even eating is also true. I went to Brooklyn this year, where I saw my Chinese classmates and I saw many relatives from China. In this year's 131 Middle School took me to the zoo in the Bronx, I have to say that the park is really big, and that is in New York City. I went to Queens this year and I was dining with my Chinese relatives. This year, my classmates in New York and I walked across the Manhattan Bridge. On the bridge, you can only hear the sound of the subway. It is not very good, because the subway is very loud. This year, my parents and I passed the Brooklyn Bridge. The Brooklyn Bridge is really a miraculous bridge. The bridge was opened in 1883, most of the bridge used wood and stone, but it can run for so many years and has to say that this is a miracle.

I think New York City is a very good city, and I will often take a Chinese bus from Albany to New York. I am going to go to the 126 public schools in New York City for a month of table tennis training next summer vacation.
